The consolidation of digital culture as a constitutive dimension of social life has brought about significant changes in Brazilian educational policies, particularly regarding the incorporation of technologies into the curriculum and pedagogical practices of Basic Education. In this context, the present study problematizes the relationship between the prescriptions of public policies on digital education and the concrete conditions for their implementation in school pedagogical work. The objective is to analyze the repercussions of public policies on digital education and the guidelines of the Brazilian National Common Core Curriculum (BNCC) on didactic organization and pedagogical practices in Basic Education. Methodologically, this study adopts a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive approach based on bibliographic and documentary research, grounded in the analysis of national normative documents and scientific literature related to digital culture, curriculum, didactics, teacher education, and the pedagogical integration of technologies. The analysis indicates that the institutionalization of digital education increases the demands placed on planning, teacher mediation, and the organization of learning experiences, shifting the use of technologies from a merely instrumental perspective toward a critical, ethical, and curriculum-oriented approach. However, challenges remain regarding teacher education, technological infrastructure, connectivity, inequalities in access, and the differing institutional capacities of education systems. It is concluded that the effectiveness of digital education policies depends on the articulation among curriculum regulation, material conditions, teachers’ professional development, and pedagogical autonomy, thereby preventing the expansion of normative requirements from imposing responsibilities on schools without providing the conditions necessary for their implementation.
