Abstract

Between the unpredictability of encounter and the depth of what is built, this article examines the emergence of love in contemporary society through an experience initiated in a digital environment. Rather than reducing such bonds to superficiality, the analysis understands them as legitimate forms of affective constitution grounded in recognition, reciprocity, and meaning-making. Based on a qualitative and interpretative approach, the study draws on sociology, psychology, and philosophy to demonstrate that the initial absence of physical presence does not prevent intimacy, and may even intensify it under certain conditions. Findings indicate that the depth of emotional bonds depends less on chronological time and more on the quality of interactions and openness to the other. It is concluded that contemporary love not only resists technological mediation but is reshaped by it, revealing new forms of connection, belonging, and continuity.
