This chapter analyzes the association between environment, health, and dengue within a context marked by intensifying climate change and persistent urban and socioenvironmental inequalities. It is a narrative literature review with a qualitative and descriptive-analytical approach, based on scientific and technical literature on climate, urbanization, health surveillance, and arboviruses. Its objective is to discuss how changes in temperature, rainfall patterns, environmental degradation, and social vulnerability influence dengue transmission dynamics and reshape prevention and control challenges. The methodology relies on an analytical reading of the source article and on the critical reorganization of its argumentative axes into chapter format. The findings indicate that the spatial and temporal expansion of dengue cannot be explained solely by vector biology, since it also depends on disordered urbanization, inadequate sanitation, poor waste management, population mobility, and institutional response gaps. It concludes that confronting dengue in times of climate crisis requires integrated surveillance, healthy urban planning, environmental education, strengthened primary health care, and intersectoral strategies grounded in evidence.
