Abstract

The management of victims with multiple gunshot wounds in red rooms requires well-defined protocols and rapid, coordinated, and efficient teamwork. These situations are characterized by the severity of injuries and the need for immediate decision-making, as response time directly affects patient outcomes. Care must follow systematic steps, starting with triage to identify priorities according to hemodynamic stability and wound severity. Next comes the primary assessment, focusing on airway control, ventilation, and circulation, in accordance with the principles of ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support). Control of external bleeding, proper immobilization, and fluid resuscitation are essential to prevent hypovolemic shock. Institutional protocols are indispensable for standardizing procedures and ensuring integration between the emergency department, surgical center, and intensive care unit. Effective communication among professionals, continuous recording of interventions, and the technical and emotional preparedness of teams are key factors for success. The use of technological resources and periodic training also enhances decision-making in high-complexity contexts. Therefore, the efficient management of multiple gunshot victims in red rooms is based on speed, precision, and teamwork, aiming for initial stabilization and continuity of care at more advanced treatment levels.
