Abstract

This production presents a didactic proposal focused on teaching quadratic functions, developed using GeoGebra software, a resource of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT). The experience was developed with first-year high school students in response to learning difficulties observed during traditional math classes. The proposal sought to promote a more interactive and visual approach, allowing students to dynamically explore the graphical and algebraic representations of quadratic functions. The use of GeoGebra enabled a greater understanding of the concepts involved, such as vertex, roots, concavity, and variations of the parabola based on changes in the function's coefficients. The observed results indicate increased student engagement, greater participation in activities, and better assimilation of content, demonstrating that the inclusion of digital resources in math teaching can contribute to transforming pedagogical practices and making learning more accessible, contextualized, and closer to students' realities.
