Abstract

The integration of active methodologies and digital technologies has expanded the possibilities for organizing teaching and learning processes; however, its effective implementation depends on teachers who are prepared to use these resources in a pedagogical, planned, and contextualized manner. In this scenario, teacher training is a crucial element in moving beyond the merely instrumental use of technologies and fostering practices centered on participation, collaboration, and knowledge construction. Given this context, this study aimed to analyze the contributions of teacher training to the integration of active methodologies and digital technologies, identifying the possibilities, challenges, and necessary conditions for their implementation in the educational setting. This is a qualitative, exploratory, and bibliographic study conducted through a literature review. Eleven scientific articles published between 2020 and 2026 were analyzed; these were selected via searches on Google Scholar and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), focusing on Portuguese-language publications directly related to the subject of investigation. The data were examined using thematic analysis, allowing the findings to be organized into thematic axes. The results indicated that initial and continuing teacher training plays a fundamental role in developing the competencies required for the pedagogical use of digital technologies and active methodologies. Challenges related to infrastructure, access to resources, planning time, and the need for ongoing training were also identified. The study concludes that integrating active methodologies and digital technologies requires continuous teacher training, pedagogical planning, and institutional support to ensure that technological resources are used intentionally and in alignment with educational objectives. This research contributes to a broader understanding of training strategies capable of fostering innovative and contextualized pedagogical practices.
