Education is a relational experience materialized through encounters, everyday gestures, and the different ways in which adults and children share time, spaces, learning processes, and affection. In this process, paternal, family, and pedagogical presence goes beyond physical proximity and is expressed through listening, care, guidance, dialogue, and emotional availability. This chapter aims to reflect on presence as an educational principle capable of strengthening bonds, supporting learning, and contributing to the development of autonomous, confident, and socially responsible individuals. This is a bibliographical study with a qualitative and reflective approach, grounded in authors who discuss affectivity, human development, pedagogical mediation, fatherhood, and autonomy. Recent research on paternal involvement in children’s socioemotional development and academic achievement is also examined, as well as studies concerning the teacher-student relationship and the construction of bonds in educational processes. The discussion questions conceptions of fatherhood centered exclusively on material provision and authority, advocating for a more caring, shared, and everyday participation in children’s lives. Educating through presence does not mean controlling every step taken by the child or preventing them from facing challenges. Rather, it involves providing a secure emotional foundation from which children can explore the world, understand their experiences, and progressively take responsibility for their choices. It is concluded that relationships supported by respect, trust, dialogue, and continuity of care constitute fundamental dimensions of learning, autonomy, and human development.
