INFLUENCE OF BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL FACTORS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF ADOLESCENTS IN CONFLICT WITH THE LAW

Abstract

This article aimed to analyze the influence of biopsychosocial factors on the development of adolescents in conflict with the law, considering the multiple interactions between biological, psychological, and social aspects that permeate their trajectories. The research adopted a bibliographic review methodology, of a qualitative and descriptive nature, based on scientific productions published in the last ten years, especially in the Brazilian context. From the analysis of the literature, it was observed that conditions such as socioeconomic vulnerability, family neglect, social exclusion, inequality, and structural violence exert a strong impact on the psychological and behavioral development of adolescents. At the same time, protective factors such as positive affective bonds, institutional support, access to public policies, and educational opportunities are fundamental in promoting healthier trajectories. The discussion highlighted the importance of understanding the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency from a systemic and multidimensional structural perspective, emphasizing the strategic role of Psychology and the Judiciary in building responses that articulate accountability, care, and social inclusion.
