THE IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE PUBLIC SERVICE PERFORMED BY EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF: THE CASE OF FEF/UFG

This article examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the work of Educational Administrative Staff, using the School of Physical Education at the Federal University of Goiás (FEF/UFG) as a case study. Based on a bibliographic review of telework in the Brazilian public sector, the study discusses the perceived advantages of remote administrative work, the technological skills developed by this professional category, the role of digital tools such as Google Meet in maintaining academic management routines, and the long-term effects of this experience on institutional modernization. The findings indicate that, although implemented as an emergency measure, remote work generated significant institutional and professional legacies for both the administrative staff and the academic unit. However, the consolidation of these advances depends on continued investments in technological infrastructure, professional training, and institutional policies aimed at ensuring equitable access to digital technologies.
