ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA DA ESTABILIZAÇÃO DE SOLOS EXPANSIVOS: MATERIAIS NATURAIS VS. INDUSTRIALIZADOS E RESÍDUOS RECICLADOS NO MÉTODO MCT

Resumo

Solos expansivos representam desafios geotécnicos devido à variação volumétrica na presença de água, sendo comuns na região de Pelotas/RS. Este estudo avalia a eficiência de diferentes agentes estabilizantes — cal, Resíduos de Construção e Demolição (RCD) e fibras naturais de Butiá — na mitigação da expansividade de um solo argiloso. A metodologia fundamenta-se no método MCT (Miniatura Compactada Tropical), analisando a penetração hídrica e a contração diametral de pastilhas moldadas com diferentes teores de aditivos. Resultados prévios indicam que a cal apresenta desempenho superior no retardamento da frente úmida, enquanto o RCD atua como material de preenchimento com limitações como estabilizador primário. A inclusão das fibras de Butiá propõe um mecanismo de reforço mecânico sustentável, visando reduzir a fissuração e melhorar a estabilidade dimensional. O trabalho contribui para o desenvolvimento de soluções de baixo impacto ambiental, comparando métodos tradicionais e inovações baseadas na biodiversidade regional.
