The pandemic of Covid-19 has intensified, around the world, the exposure of health professionals to stressful stimuli in the hospital environment. Problems like the lack of material resources and infrastructure, work schedule overload, constant episodes of pain and death, when added to the inability to struggle with this situation, generate occupational stress. Thus, this work aims to identify instruments used to monitor the stressing in health professionals working in hospitals during the Covid-19 pandemic, results obtained, and coping strategies; for it, this research work made a systematic review of articles published and indexed in the Scopus, Science Direct, and Web of Science databases; from January 2020 to June 2021. Was found 35 studies conducted in 21 countries that meet the inclusion criteria, using six different assessment scales, each with a way to measure and assess work stress, which makes it difficult to standardize and compare data. However, the stress level reported in the hospital work ranged from medium to high intensity, and the predictors highlighted were related to unfavorable working conditions and the intensification of characteristics inherent to the profession. Research conducted in the initial phase of the pandemic indicates lower percentages of the level of stress of those compared to those developed in later periods. Institutions, the work team, and the individual with social support can implement coping actions; and assume individual and collective strategies based on public or non-public policies; aimed to provide emotional and psychological support for the worker.
