AVALIAÇÃO DO ESTRESSE DOS PROFISSIONAIS DA SAÚDE DURANTE A COVID-19: UMA REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA DA LITERATURA

Com a pandemia do Covid-19, em todo o mundo intensificou-se a exposição dos profissionais da saúde aos estímulos estressores no ambiente hospitalar. A falta de recursos materiais e infraestrutura, a sobrecarga de trabalho e episódios constantes de dor e perda, quando somados à incapacidade de enfrentamento geram o estresse ocupacional. Esse trabalho objetiva identificar instrumentos utilizados no monitoramento do estresse em profissionais da saúde atuantes em hospitais durante a pandemia do Covid-19, resultados obtidos e estratégias de enfrentamento; para isso fez-se uma revisão sistemática de artigos publicados e indexados nas bases de dados Scopus, Science Direct e Web of Science de janeiro, 2020 a junho, 2021. Foram encontrados 35 estudos, conduzidos em 21 países, que atendem aos critérios de inclusão, empregando 6 diferentes escalas de avaliação, cada qual com uma forma de mensurar e avaliar o estresse laboral o que dificulta a padronização e comparação dos dados. No entanto, o nível de estresse relatado nos trabalhos foi de média a alta intensidade, sendo que os fatores preditores ressaltados estiveram relacionados às condições desfavoráveis de trabalho e a intensificação das características inerentes à profissão. Pesquisas conduzidas na fase inicial da pandemia apontam menores percentuais de estresse quando comparados com aquelas desenvolvidos em períodos posteriores. As ações de enfrentamento podem ser conduzidas pelas instituições, pela equipe e pelo próprio indivíduo por meio do apoio social e da adoção de estratégias individuais e coletivas, pautadas em políticas públicas ou não, com vista ao amparo emocional e suporte psicológico do profissional.
