This article aims to analyze how emotional control influences performance, interpersonal relationships, and organizational climate; and specifically to review the literature on the strategies, factors, and impacts of emotional control in the professional sphere. The methodology required to achieve these objectives consists of reading and analyzing scientific articles, books, and book chapters published, preferably by authors such as Goleman (1995), Salovey; Mayer (1990), Brackett; Caruso (2007), among others who discuss the topic of emotional control, emotional intelligence, and its applications in the workplace. Deductive research revealed that emotional control is a fundamental skill for maintaining mental health, improving relationships, and increasing efficiency at work.
