ANALYSIS OF THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE HPV VACCINE AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS – INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

HPV is a highly prevalent virus worldwide, responsible for infections that can lead to cancer, particularly of the cervix. The vaccine represents an effective preventive measure, but there is still resistance or lack of awareness among the population regarding its importance. The methodology is based on scientific articles published between 2015 and 2025, addressing aspects such as knowledge about HPV, vaccination coverage, factors that influence vaccine uptake, and educational strategies. The research revealed a significant contrast, where women and students in healthcare demonstrate a higher level of knowledge, while men and students in other disciplines have a limited, fragmented, and susceptible understanding, resulting in low vaccination uptake.
