Abstract

This paper investigates the practice of sensitive listening in two contexts: the Pode Falar Network, a support channel for the mental health and well-being of adolescents and young people, and primary education. The aim was to analyze how professionals implement sensitive listening, highlighting the challenges and impacts of this practice on the relationship with young people. The research adopted a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews with teachers and teachers. The results indicate that empathetic listening strengthens bonds and promotes acceptance, although structural limitations, such as the overload of care, hinder its effectiveness. The conclusion is that sensitive listening, although challenged by contextual issues, is fundamental for transforming educational and therapeutic relationships, and that continuous training for professionals is necessary.
