Abstract

The increasing number of digital game consumers, including people with disabilities (PWDs), highlights the crucial need for implementing accessibility options. This applied research, with a qualitative approach, classified as exploratory and interdisciplinary, focuses on the analysis of the game Queens: the resistance street, based on the text accessibility guidelines of the Xbox Accessibility Guidelines. As a result, it was found that the game meets the recommendations regarding text size, in terms of pixel height for characters and the ability to scale to at least 200% of the original size, as recommended by text scaling. However, the lack of options to increase the text size within the game is a significant gap. This highlights the importance of developers incorporating additional features and seeking to consult accessibility guidelines, such as text zoom options, to ensure an inclusive and accessible gaming experience for all players, thus promoting equal access and participation in the digital gaming community.
