Abstract

The global pollinator crisis, driven by agricultural intensification, poses a serious threat to food security and ecosystem stability. This article conducts a critical bibliographic review, based exclusively on consolidated literary sources from renowned scientific authors, aiming to synthesize habitat management strategies for pollinator conservation in agricultural landscapes. The rationale lies in the critical dependence of key food crops on pollination services and the documented decline of these organisms due to habitat loss and degradation. The methodology consisted of a systematic analysis of reference works in the fields of agroecology, landscape ecology, and pollination biology. The review results consistently demonstrate that the simplification of agricultural landscapes, with the consequent reduction in floral resource diversity and nesting sites, is the primary factor driving decline. The discussion highlights that the strategic insertion of natural elements into the agricultural matrix, as well as the maintenance and creation of ecological corridors, preservation of native vegetation fragments, and cultivation of bee-friendly plants in field margins, constitutes an effective response to mitigate these impacts. It is concluded that adopting management practices that restore landscape heterogeneity is fundamental to the sustainability of agroecosystems, promoting synergies between agricultural production and biodiversity conservation. Pollinator conservation emerges not as a cost, but as an essential investment for long-term agricultural resilience and productivity.
