This study aims to analyze contemporary trends in continuing education by discussing the contributions of Artificial Intelligence, pedagogical innovation, and Evidence-Based Education to teachers’ professional development. This is a qualitative study, conducted through a bibliographic review based on books, scientific articles, and national and international official documents published mainly between 2020 and 2025. The literature analysis shows that evidence-based continuing education programs contribute to improving the quality of pedagogical practices, strengthening teacher autonomy, and expanding the ability to integrate digital technologies into teaching and learning processes. The studies also demonstrate that Artificial Intelligence enhances the personalization of professional training, while pedagogical innovation promotes a stronger connection between theory and practice. It is concluded that continuing education should be understood as a permanent, collaborative process grounded in scientific evidence, preparing teachers to respond critically to the challenges of education in the digital society.
