Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit a manuscript to Aurum Editora. All submissions will undergo a preliminary assessment by an editor, who will check that the manuscript is in line with the journal's objectives and scope. Proposals deemed suitable will go through the peer review process, which will determine whether they are accepted or rejected.

Before submitting the work, it is the authors' responsibility to ensure that they have permission to publish any material included in the submission - such as images, documents or datasets. All listed authors must consent to be listed as co-authors. Where applicable, the research must have the approval of an ethics committee, in accordance with the legal requirements of the country in which it was carried out.

Manuscripts that do not meet the minimum quality standards may be rejected. It is therefore essential that the methodological design and scientific argument are well structured and articulated. The title should be clear and objective, and the abstract should present the main points of the article in a self-contained way, allowing them to be understood independently. These precautions increase the chances that the reviewers will agree to analyze the work.

Once you are sure that your submission meets these criteria, use the checklist below to finalize the preparation of the manuscript.

Submission Preparation Checklist

The evaluation of submissions is free of charge and the publication fee is R$115.00 reais after acceptance. All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The file must be in Word format and contain:

    Title, abstract, keywords, author details, and references.

     

    1. Abstract Rules:

    1.1. Content Structure

    • 100 to 250 words.
    • Main topic → begin the summary by clearly explaining the central theme of the work..
    • Type of work → indicate whether it is a Case Study, Literature Review, Theoretical Research, Applied Research, etc.
    • Objective(s) → briefly highlight the purpose of the study.
    • Methodology → briefly explain how the research was conducted.
    • Results → present the main findings of the study.
    • Conclusion → conclude by reporting on the contribution or implications of the work.
     

    1.2. Writing Rules

    • A single paragraph (cannot be broken into several).
    • Writing in the third person singular (e.g., “The study analyzes...,” “The research identified...”).
    • No direct or indirect citations.
    • No topics, symbols, formulas, or equations, unless they are indispensable.

     

    2. Keywords: Three to five words or phrases that represent the main themes of the work. Separated by semicolons..

     

     

    3. Author data (for all authors listed) must be submitted in this format:

    • Full name:
    • Highest level of education:
    • Academic institution:
    • Contact e-mail, Lattes, or ORCID:
     

    4. Recommended basic structure: Introduction, Literature review, Methodology, Results and discussion, and Conclusion.

    Note: The use of methodology is essential for academic articles.

     

    5. The use of citations must follow the updated ABNT standards:

    • Single quotation marks are only used for quotations within quotations;
    • The 4 cm indentation is not mandatory; use it when you want to visually highlight the quotation.;
    • Always indicate the author, year, and page (when applicable);
    • Use quotation within quotation only as a last resort; prefer the original source;
    • Authors' last names are no longer capitalized — write them with only the first letter capitalized (e.g., Silva, Souza).
     

    6. References should be prepared in accordance with ABNT standards, presented in alphabetical order or numbered according to the sequence of use in the text:

    • Always use accessible and stable links (avoid shorteners or links to computer folders).
    • Include access date for online materials.
    • Maintain consistency with the original document (author, title, subtitle, edition, pages, year, etc.).
    • If the work has no author, start with the responsible entity (e.g., BRAZIL, UNESCO, WHO).
     

    7. Figures and tables should be of good visual quality, contain titles and source references, and, where there are associated links, these should be active and accessible.

     

     

    8. Information on research involving living beings:

    Studies and research involving living beings must be approved by the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) and accompanied by a duly signed Free and Informed Consent Form (TCLE), as well as being properly substantiated and described in the body of the article.


    9. Other necessary information:

    • Maximum of 10 authors per article (additional fee of R$12.00 per extra author up to a limit of 16);
    • Maximum 30 pages (including references and notes). Articles exceeding the maximum of 30 pages may be accepted as author e-books, or must be adapted to the maximum length allowed.
