Analyzing the Portuguese Language textbook for the 6th grade of Elementary School II, by Willian Cereja and Thereza Cochar, its essential role in the teaching-learning process in public schools is highlighted. The investigation focuses on the unit "In the World of Fantasy," from the perspective of Bakhtinian enunciation and the didactic sequence proposal of Schneuwly and Dolz. This is a qualitative and interpretative analysis of teaching material, focusing on the discursive approach and the construction of meaning.
The authors adopt an enunciative-discursive approach, understanding language as an instrument of social interaction. Normative grammar receives little attention, in favor of valuing the experiences of speakers and the construction of meaning. The didactic sequence is structured around the genre "fairy tale" and divided into three modules: reading and interpretation, text production, and linguistic study. This organization aims to develop students' communicative skills through contextualization and interaction.
