The voice is the main working tool of professional singers, being essential for artistic performance and maintaining their work activity. In this context, the inadequate use of the voice, associated with the absence of technical preparation and specialized monitoring, can favor the development of vocal disorders, compromising vocal quality and career longevity. This study aimed to analyze the importance of speech-language pathology intervention in the prevention of vocal disorders in professional singers, as well as the medium- and long-term consequences of the absence of this monitoring. This is an integrative literature review, with a qualitative approach, based on studies published between 2020 and 2025. The results showed a high prevalence of vocal symptoms among voice professionals, including hoarseness, vocal fatigue, and dysphonia, frequently associated with inadequate voice use and the absence of preventive strategies. It was observed that speech-language pathology monitoring contributes significantly to improving vocal quality, increasing vocal endurance, and reducing the incidence of vocal disorders, through interventions such as technical guidance, vocal training, and the promotion of healthy habits. It is concluded that speech-language pathology intervention is fundamental in the prevention of vocal disorders, being crucial for maintaining vocal health and the sustainability of professional singers' careers.
