CEDOC/I AS A SPACE FOR STUDENT TRAINING: REFLECTIONS FROM A HISTORIAN'S WORKSPACE

Abstract

This reflection was based on the results of a project that sought to provide students in the History program and related fields at UNICENTRO with training in archival practices and historical document management at CEDOC/Irati. Activities ranged from the sanitization of historically valuable documents, their organization and archival description, to digitization and availability for consultation. The project also aimed to offer workshops on historical source analysis with CEDOC staff and students in the History program and related fields, aiming to promote the cultural and scientific dissemination of the collection and provide training for teaching, research, and extension in History. These activities are intended to strengthen CEDOC/Irati as a space for student education and training in document preservation and management.
