Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is a surgical procedure that improves mobility and life expectancy in patients with end-stage joint damage. However, the procedure is accompanied by intense postoperative pain, which can delay mobilization, prolong hospital stays, and increase healthcare costs. Although traditional analgesic approaches often lead to motor impairment, advances in regional anesthesia techniques with motor preservation promise effective pain relief while safeguarding muscle function. The following study evaluates and highlights an innovative regional technique, assessing mechanisms, techniques, recommendations, implications, and benefits to improve recovery after THA.
