ALIMENTAÇÃO, MICROBIOTA INTESTINAL E SAÚDE MENTAL: INTERFACES INTERDISCIPLINARES NO CUIDADO EM SAÚDE

Resumen

A relação entre alimentação, microbiota intestinal e saúde mental constitui um campo interdisciplinar de crescente interesse na área da saúde, especialmente diante das evidências sobre a influência dos hábitos alimentares e do ecossistema intestinal na comunicação entre o trato gastrointestinal e o sistema nervoso central. O estudo tem como objetivo analisar as interfaces entre alimentação, microbiota intestinal e saúde mental, destacando os mecanismos envolvidos nessa relação e as possibilidades de atuação interdisciplinar no cuidado em saúde. Desenvolveu-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura, de caráter qualitativo e exploratório-descritivo, a partir da análise de publicações científicas relacionadas à alimentação, microbiota intestinal, eixo intestino-cérebro, depressão, ansiedade e intervenções com probióticos, prebióticos e simbióticos. Os resultados indicam que padrões alimentares caracterizados pela maior presença de fibras, frutas, hortaliças, leguminosas, cereais integrais e compostos bioativos podem favorecer a diversidade e a funcionalidade da microbiota, enquanto alterações na composição microbiana apresentam associações com manifestações relacionadas à saúde mental. As evidências sobre intervenções específicas são promissoras, porém heterogêneas, não permitindo estabelecer relações causais ou recomendações universais. Conclui-se que a abordagem interdisciplinar e individualizada constitui uma perspectiva relevante para integrar alimentação, saúde intestinal e saúde mental no cuidado integral.
