Neuroscience applied to education has significantly contributed to the understanding of teaching and learning processes in the school context. This study aims to analyze the contributions of neuroscience to meaningful learning, highlighting the importance of cognitive, emotional, and pedagogical factors in student development. This is a literature review study conducted through the analysis of books, scientific articles, and academic publications on neuroscience, meaningful learning, and pedagogical practices. The results show that the brain learns more efficiently when the content is meaningful, related to students’ previous experiences, and developed in emotionally positive environments. Meaningful learning promotes greater knowledge retention, critical thinking development, and active student participation in the educational process. Furthermore, active methodologies, technological resources, and interactive strategies demonstrate a positive impact on school performance. It is concluded that the integration between neuroscience and education can contribute to more effective, inclusive, and student-centered pedagogical practices, improving the teaching-learning process.
