Abstract

This study aimed to analyze how patterns of digital platform use are configured in higher education in a post-pandemic context and sought to answer the following question: how is this use distributed across different purposes. A quantitative descriptive approach was adopted, using a questionnaire with closed-ended questions applied to students and faculty members. Data collection considered variables such as time and frequency of use, devices, types of tools, and perceived changes after 2020. The results indicate recurrent use of digital platforms across different domains, with greater intensity in the professional context and predominance of mobile device access. The findings also show the coexistence of multiple tools in everyday routines and the maintenance of high levels of use after the return to face-to-face activities. Overall, the results suggest a continuous and multifunctional pattern of use, distributed across different activity contexts, with simultaneous academic, professional, and consumption-related uses.
