PLANNING ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS: TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC ANALYSIS FOR IMPROVEMENTS AND EXPANSION

Abstract

The planning and optimization of electrical distribution systems are essential to ensure the reliability of power supply, the quality of electricity delivered to consumers, and the economic feasibility of investments in the sector. The definition of alternatives for network expansion and reinforcement must consider both technical and economic criteria, aiming to meet regulatory requirements and continuity and power quality indicators. In this context, this study presents a structured approach to the formulation and techno-economic analysis of improvement alternatives in distribution systems. Key aspects such as load forecasting, network modeling, investment optimization, and operational feasibility are explored. The proposed methodology enables the evaluation of different scenarios, considering operational constraints, investment costs, and performance indicators. Thus, the results obtained can support decision-making, ensuring that the adopted solutions are both efficient and sustainable for the electrical sector.
