FUNDAMENTOS DA BIOCLIMATOLOGIA E MECANISMOS DE TERMORREGULAÇÃO DE OVINOS: DA DINÂMICA AMBIENTAL À EFICIÊNCIA PRODUTIVA

A bioclimatologia é o estudo da influência e interações do clima nos seres vivos. Os ovinos são animais bem adaptados as condições climáticas, mas, as grandes variações podem alterar o limite de tolerância do conforto térmico, interferindo diretamente na produção animal. O objetivo dessa revisão bibliográfica foi compreender os efeitos do clima sobre a produção ovina e como as respostas fisiológicas se comportam. A resposta fisiológica ao estresse térmico, embora seja um mecanismo adaptativo necessário para a sobrevivência, compromete a eficiência da produção. Por esse motivo a adoção de técnicas de manejo são fundamentais para garantir a eficiência do sistema.
