This study investigates the psychosocial consequences of the 6x1 work schedule, focusing on the intensification of mental load and the erosion of social bonds among Brazilian workers. This bibliographic research, with a qualitative approach, analyzed scientific articles, books, and documents published between 2019 and 2025, indexed in the SciELO, PubMed, and BVS databases. The results indicate that the systematic suppression of time for rest, leisure, and family life acts as a critical factor in increasing occupational stress, emotional exhaustion, and social isolation. It was observed that the chronic nature of this work model compromises the construction and maintenance of affective and community support networks, creating a cycle of psychological vulnerability. It is concluded that the 6x1 schedule constitutes an adverse social determinant for mental health, demanding an urgent review of organizational policies and the implementation of strategies that promote the reconciliation between productivity, psychological well-being, and the strengthening of workers' social fabric.
