Abstract

The recent article consists of a study on the use of the Socrative application in History classes in elementary II classes. It aims to understand which optimizations, potentialities of which this tool can contribute to the teaching and learning process from its use in the school environment. It is a case study that also aims to demonstrate the urgent need for teachers to adapt to new technologies and their devices, as potential to be used valuablely as a learning tool. In this way, the work aimed to establish an overview of not only the use of the application, but with the contemporary scientific pedagogical relationship, which seeks to guide the way to reconcile teaching, History is no exception, with the evolution of the technological world in which we live. It was observed that regardless of the platform used, in our case Socrative, mediation by the teacher is fundamental for the use of ICT as a teaching tool, be fruitful and meaningful. In this way, it is intended to regulate learning and studies on active teaching methodologies when discussing new technologies and their use in improving education. Thus, to build an apology for the approximation between history teaching and new technologies, mainly through interactive games and applications, as is the case of Socrative, and others, as an element of technological evolution itself, and as a corollary, of teaching and its objective greater, learning.
