Abstract

The constant technological transformations permeating contemporary society have driven profound changes in human relations, the economy, culture, and especially education. In this context, it has become essential to understand the role of technology in the educational process and how it can contribute to a more dynamic, critical, and participatory pedagogical practice. The discussion about the relationship between curriculum and technology is not recent, but it has acquired new nuances given the speed of innovation and the universality of digital media. Therefore, understanding the evolution of the concept of technology and its application in education is fundamental. This article aims to discuss the relationship between curriculum and technology in contemporary education, reflecting on the challenges and possibilities of its integration. The methodology used was bibliographic research, based on works and studies by authors who address the theme of educational technology and curricular restructuring. This change, however, requires a more dynamic curriculum, capable of integrating multiple knowledge and experiences. The challenge, still present, is to incorporate technology as an instrument of pedagogical mediation, stimulating research, reflection, and the production of knowledge. Beyond their pedagogical use, digital technologies influence school management and communication between school, family, and community. In this sense, the technology curriculum needs to be committed to holistic, civic, and transformative education. The challenge, therefore, lies in transforming the presence of technology into an instrument of liberation, not alienation, reaffirming the school's commitment to integral human development.
