ALGORITHMIC COLONIALITY AND NON-MACHINE RE-EDUCATION: TRANSVALUATION OF VALUES IN THE AGE OF DIGITAL GOVERNMENTALITY

Abstract

Algorithmic governmentality, far from constituting a merely technical or economic phenomenon, operates as an epistemopolitical operator that reorganizes forms of subjectivation, hierarchizes knowledge, and reproduces, in digital form, the historical structures of the coloniality of power. Articulating Foucault, Zuboff, Quijano, Maldonado-Torres, Lander and Fanon with Nietzsche's philosophy of the transvaluation of values, this article investigates algorithmic coloniality as a contemporary updating of historical devices of domination and hierarchization of life. It is argued that algorithmic logic, by privileging certain epistemes, behavioral patterns and forms of rationality, operates as a device of exclusion and suppression of dissident knowledges and subjectivities, reproducing, on a global scale and in real time, the colonialities of knowledge, being and power. The analysis of surveillance capitalism and the production of the animal digitalis reveals the massification of an algorithmically colonized subjectivity, incapable of transvaluating the values that govern it. In response, the work mobilizes the notion of the hacker-Fanonian gesture as a practice of creative disobedience inscribed in the very language of the system, proposing non-machinic reeducation as the ethical and political horizon of transvaluation: not the rejection of technique, but the overcoming of the colonial rationality that governs it. It concludes that a pedagogy of potency, guided by Nietzschean critique and the decolonial perspective, constitutes the most consistent philosophical response to contemporary algorithmic domestication.
