ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-ASSISTED SCHOOL MEDIATION: CHALLENGES IN CONFLICT RESOLUTION

This paper aims to analyze the main challenges facing artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted school mediation in conflict resolution in contemporary educational settings. Based on a documentary analysis of 10 recent scientific articles, key tensions between technological innovation and human pedagogical practices are identified. The most relevant challenges include teachers' fear of being replaced by automated systems, bias in predictive algorithms, the lack of adaptability of AI platforms to personalized learning, the inability to interpret socio-emotional skills, and the technical gap in rural contexts. It is concluded that, for AI to truly contribute to a culture of school peace, it must be subordinated to ethical, pedagogical, and humanizing criteria.
