USO DE ENXERTOS NAS RECONSTRUÇÕES ÓSSEAS NA IMPLANTODONTIA - REVISÃO NARRATIVA DA LITERATURA

Resumen

A reabilitação por implantes dentários em rebordos atróficos exige uma seleção criteriosa de biomateriais para reconstruções ósseas horizontais e verticais, frente à ampla variedade de enxertos autógenos, alógenos e xenógenos disponíveis na Odontologia. Esta revisão narrativa da literatura objetivou analisar o uso de enxertos em reconstruções ósseas na implantodontia, abordando indicações clínicas, ganhos dimensionais e complicações das estratégias reconstrutivas. Conduzido sob as diretrizes da Escala para Avaliação de Artigos de Revisão Narrativa (SANRA), o levantamento bibliográfico foi realizado na base de dados PubMed/Medline, utilizando os descritores “bone grafts” e “implantology”, além de termos relacionados, sem restrições de idioma ou período. A análise conjunta das evidências científicas demonstra que as reconstruções ósseas na implantodontia, independentemente da origem do enxerto, são altamente eficazes e garantem o sucesso dos implantes a longo prazo. Contudo, os substitutos ósseos processados (alógenos e xenógenos) destacam-se por oferecer ganhos dimensionais equivalentes ou superiores ao osso autógeno, com maior estabilidade volumétrica e menor reabsorção. Adicionalmente, por eliminarem a necessidade de uma área doadora, os biomateriais reduzem drasticamente o tempo cirúrgico e as complicações pós-operatórias, tornando o tratamento mais rápido, seguro e confortável para o paciente. Em conclusão, os dados científicos evidenciam uma mudança de paradigma na implantodontia. Embora o osso autógeno continue como referência biológica, os substitutos alógenos e xenógenos consolidam-se na prática moderna devido à alta previsibilidade, estabilidade volumétrica e sucesso a longo prazo. Assim, a utilização de biomateriais otimiza os resultados e humaniza o tratamento ao eliminar a área doadora, tornando o procedimento mais rápido, seguro e confortável para o paciente.
