Abstract

This article aims to analyze the importance of gamification in student motivation within the educational context. The research was conducted through a basic bibliographic review, with a qualitative and exploratory approach, involving the analysis of scientific articles, theses, and dissertations published in the last ten years. The results showed that gamification significantly increases student motivation, especially by stimulating intrinsic motivation, engagement, and the development of socio-emotional skills. Additionally, the application of playful elements in the teaching-learning process contributes to improved academic performance and the creation of more dynamic and interactive educational environments. Challenges related to teacher training and access to technological resources were also identified. Gamification is a promising strategy for contemporary education, capable of transforming the school experience and promoting more effective outcomes. Empirical studies exploring diverse educational contexts and strategies for teacher training are suggested.
