SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT TO OBTAIN COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

Abstract

This article analyzes the importance of supply chain management and its impacts on the organizational environment. As a literature review, the work aims to demonstrate how supply chain management can bring competitive advantage to a company. The methodology used was based on a literature review concerning the main concepts, tools, and techniques from specialized literature. The results indicate that supply chain integration provides significant benefits, such as cost reduction, process time reduction, quality improvement, and greater logistical flexibility. It is concluded that the integration of the supply chain with information technology is essential to support decision-making processes, resulting in a strategic governance model and enhanced market competitiveness.
