Abstract

This article analyzes the intersections between the transformative practices presented in Mara Mourão's documentary “Who Cares” (2013) and the role of the teacher as an agent of inclusion in education. Based on a literature review and comparative analysis, the aim is to highlight how teachers can inspire significant changes in students' lives and contribute to a more inclusive society. The study highlights the importance of teacher engagement in inclusive practices and teacher training aimed at social transformation. Finally, it proposes reflections on the impact of inclusive teaching as a tool for change in the classroom and in society. The methodology adopted is qualitative, based on documentary analysis of the film and theoretical studies on inclusive education, teacher training, social entrepreneurship and educational transformation. The methodological process was divided into three stages: initially, the analysis of the documentary made it possible to identify practices and narratives that show the potential for social transformation through individual and collective action; next, a literature review was carried out focusing on the role of the teacher as a promoter of inclusion and citizenship; finally, reflection was made on the points of convergence between the content of the film and the principles of inclusive pedagogical practices. The research contributes to broadening the understanding of the ethical, social and formative role of teaching in challenging educational contexts.
